Wyoming....

Oh there's no place like home. To me, home is in Utah, but to my mother, home is in Gillette, Wyoming. In case none of you have ever been to Gillette, dont bother, because there is nothing there. It really is like a spit in the road, totally in the middle of nowhere. So unless you have family there, its not like they have the worlds biggest ball of yarn. Anyway, Im sitting here, doing nothing. We've been playing Wii all week long, and I am like THE WORST nintendo playing person ever. So if its a multiple player game, everyone loves playing with me because they know they'll win. If its a team player game, no one wants to be on my team, because they know they'll loose! haha. So now, of course, Im not doing anything, and I thought I'd come blog for a second about my life. I wish I knew how to express what Im feeling inside, in a way that if someone ever read this they would understand what I was feeling, but not necessarely know many details. Like who or what made me feel that certain way. Unfortunately I dont know how to do that, so I'll just have to save that for my journal. Life is a little crazy right now, with friends I mean, some are coming home from missions, getting married, moving away, getting married, being dramatic, wishing others werent so dramatic, etc.etc. And at the time, I feel kind of alone. My boyfriend is in training right now and he's not alloud to have his cellular device, so we cant talk. Which sucks, but its ok, only a few more weeks. My sister is, well...we wont go there. I think that maybe I just need a new adventure in my life. (Oh dear, something is burning... I think one of the moms just burnt dinner...ew) Maybe I should go cook, that'd be a new adventure for today...except last time I tried to help in the kitchen I got kicked out. eh. Whatever. ..Ok, well I dont have anything else to say right now.. so Im off.

Hey everyone, it is a lovely sunday afternoon and I just got up from the living room where my family has been debating on where to hold the next family vacation. We all realized that we havent been on a fam vaca in way to long of a time.! So what we've come up with is a very large vacation next spring, but until then we would like to go on some fun little weekend trips and do some awesomely radical things. Does anyone have any ideas of things that we could do? Have you gone on random trips with your family? Please let me know! Thanks!

Apology

I apologize for anyone who just read the post below this and that ruined the movie for you. But in all fairness, that was not my fault for ruining it. This is not a "wait for the dollar movie" show. No sir! If you have read this blog before seeing The Dark Knight, then I do not feel sorry that I gave away some of the movie, because this should be your "top movie priority". So. ...Ok I am a little bit sorry, but....yeah. Sorry if I ruined it. Its just an amazing movie, and I had to get my thoughts out. =)

The Dark Knight

Tonight I have witnessed the single most amazing movie ever. Although I wont lie, Im a little biast. Batman is my favorite and no matter what anyone says he is the best superhero in the world. Anyway, tonight I went to see the Dark Knight, and even now at 3:24am I am still in awe at the velocity of this show's superiority over all other shows. Not only does Batman kick all the other guy's butts, looses love, falls out of 3 story buildings, gets shot and bit by dogs, but he also takes the blame for eveyrthing the bad guys did so that the city of gothem thinks there is still a hero! OH MY LAWD! Could you say Awesome? Batman is the Man.
I also was introduced to batman tonight, it turns out we have been friends for a while. I never saw it coming. And we love each other. The end.
And as for the AMAZING Heath Ledger. I aplaud him. This was definately the perfect last movie choice on his behalf (not that he knew it was to be his last movie...or maybe he did. We never know ..I like to think he didnt know). Heath Ledger was an amazing actor and I love him dearly. The end.

Quote of the day

I have recently fallen upon a lovely book that I find quite interesting. It is called the "Perpetual Inspirational Calendar". And it is this cute little flip book with a quote for every single day of the whole year! Anyway, as I was flipping through this lovely little book, I came upon some really great quotes, and I've decided that here is where I will post any quotes and comments that I simply adore. Also, it is my new responisbillity to send Jen a quote every day for the rest of the year, so Jen, if I miss one, then just check this blog, because it will probably be posted here. However, I do not feel that I will be posting every single day for the rest of the year. So sometimes there might be multiple quotes in one blog. As it is, here we start with yesterday's quote.
July 14: "...a friend is an Angel in disguise."
I definately agree with this quote. Friends are AWESOME. You can never have enough friends, but I must add that a TRUE friend is an Angel in disguise. It is hard to find really really great friends, the ones you will keep for a lifetime. And Im not saying those friends you'll keep forever, but your only communication is a Christmas Card every year. No, Im talking about the friends who are a part of your every day life. Whom you speak to at least once a week, the friends who think about you all the time when you're out of town, wondering what extravagent adventure you're about to embark on, and hoping you'll be safe. These friends who should have been your brother or sister, but God knew you needed them as a friend instead. These are the real Angels in disguise. I have been blessed with many great Angels in my life, and I have come to realize (as I've been writing this blog) that I do not express my thanks and appreciation enough. So I would like to first off thank my Mom for being the greatest friend I'll ever have, and for always being there whenever I needed you. I love you Mom. Thank you Denisha and Alex for being my friends, and even though Dr. D is now retired, I know you'll always have my back. Thank you Hayley for all the wonderful "girl's night out"s that we've had together. I will never forget 80's Night and really really tight spandex! (hehe) Thank you Tamera for being my military support. And for our pizza and movie nights. Thank you Eric for always knowing how to put a smile on my face.Thank you Leslie for creating G-runs and Canyon Drives. Thank you Natasha for all our conversations of live via siting in the car eating ice cream. =) Thank you Jess for being awesome! Thank you for loving to go bowling with me all the time Chels, and for being my S.T. Dictionary. Thank you Britni and Bre for being the greatest sisters in the world! Thank you Scott, Trev, and Ty for being so studly its almost unbearable. Thank you to a secret someone who put the biggest smile on my face yesterday! That was increadible!! Basically I just wanted to tell everyone who's ever been an inspiration to me, or lifted me up when they didnt even know it, Thank you for being my Angel in disguise!

Aloha Hawaii

I just returned from a wonderful vacation to hawaii! My boyfriend is a marine and he is stationed there, he flew me out for the 4th of July and we had a blast! We went hiking - kind of, cliff jumping, motorcycle riding, to the beach, matsumotos, shopping, rodney atkins concert, fireworks, swimming, horseback riding, and more! Here are some pictures from the vaca...

This is at the top of Pali Road. The view was absolutely amazing, we could see for miles!

MATSUMOTOS! The most famous snow cone shop ever! These babys were sweet!! Except, whoever thought of sticking beans (like black beans) at the bottom of a snowcone? (shoulder shrug) who knows. I didnt get any beans though. Just a plain ol' strawberry/pina colada snow cone.!
Jen and I at North Shore! We had so much fun!! Everyone was jumping off of this huge rock doing back flips and gainers! We got some great video! Hawaii is the greatest!
Horseback riding!! Talk about fantastic! We got to ride all over the North side of the Oahu. We rode around in the mountains where they are filming "Lost" which was super cool. And again, it was Hawaii so of course the scenery was amazingly beautiful!
Enter "The Hog". This would be our way of transportation just about every day. It was awesome! We rode "The Hog" a lot while I was there, and I must admit, its my new favorite. Anyway, thats about it for "Adventures of Nicole in Hawaii." Tune in next time for... "The Price is Right".
Over and Out.
