Dreaming of Distand Lands to Come, Photography, Red Vines, and Etcetera.

In result of my most recent life tragedy, I have decided to be more selfish and make goals to accomplish some of my dreams!! Some are already in motion, and others have been planned this day. I will here and now document my goals and hope to accomplish them in the next 5 years.

Goal 1:
Finish Hair School
I will be starting MATC Cosmetology in October, and I am SO excited. I'll be doing night school mon-thursday, and then day school fri-sat. So if anyone needs their hair done just let me know!! I'd be glad to assist!! =)
Because most of my school time will be at night, I probably wont finish school for about two years. I'll be trying, however, to finish as fast as physically possible.

Goal 2:
Work and Save Money
After I graduate from MATC then I want to work for a while to save up as much as I can so that I can accomplish goal number 3............
(hehe, random giggle.
Im getting excited)

Goal 3:
Live in Australia
This is the goal that I am the most excited about. I have always dreamed of going to Australia, I was close once. I was going to go for a foreign exchange program my senior year, but the organization I went through was .......... unprofessional to say the least. Needless to say, I didnt make it. So now, Im planning on moving there for a year or two, just for kicks and giggles. hehe.
It makes me happy just thinking about it right now.
I cant wait.
AAHHHHHHHH!
Seriously, this is my excitement leaking out of my soul!! It keeps me going day by day. And I just love the thought that I could actually get to do this. Living in Brisbane Australia. Right in the city!! That would be the greatest thing I could ever imagine!!
I could make so many new friends!
Oh how I love new friends.
Now, dont get me wrong, I love the friends I have now. Like more then anything! They're fantasticly awesome. But friends are like shoes, you cant EVER have to many. hehe. And aussies are AWESOME!
haha I cant wait, anyway, thats dream numero tres. And the last one on my list so far.

Tea and I have become addicted to photography! Its so bad. We have WAY to many photos of us. hehe not that Im really complaining, becaues we have SO much fun with the camera...especially since we got the remote!! Anyway, here are some of our wonderful pictures we've taken. I do adore this girl! She's one of my bestest friends in the westest. hehe.
As you can tell, there is a possibility that we spend to much time together.

HA! We couldnt resist the dollar store lingerie!!

Girl time! hehe We bonded.

The #1 DEADLIEST snakes in the Dollar Store!!
Well,.............what can I say? If the pillow fits!!!
HAHA! Tamera is my knight in shining....plastic. =)

We had way to much fun at Wendys one night. Looking at the photo on the right, you will see that yes we did indeed have a straw war. And the photo on the right, well.....Tea likes Ranch.
I have recently discovered that I absolutely adore with the fullness of my soul....Red Vines Licorice! oh my heavens, it is so so so so so so yummy! We bought the big HUGE can thingy of them, you know, the one that has like 200 licorice in it! And I've eaten just about the whole thing all by myself! They are so good. Right when they were gone, I ran to Walmart to grab some more. ... Apparently its my new comfort food.
Etcetera would probably include the fact that I am home alone righ tnow. And no one is with me. All alone.
Just me,
myself,
and I.
However, James and Ryan are supposed to be hanging out with me tonight! Im SO excited that they are home!! Im sure they arent that excited, because its hard to live somewhere for so long and grow to love the people around you, and then have to leave them. But I know I sure am glad to have them home! I havent even seen Ry yet! He called me the other day. It was pretty funny because I know a few Ryans, and so for a minute when he was like, "Uh, hey. This is Ryan." I had NO idea which Ryan was actually calling me.
But then I realized it was him, and excitement filled my body.
Yay me!!
Im so glad to finally have my friends home.
Except for some reason Ryan thinks he has to leave us and go two bloody hours away for schooling. HA. Who needs schooling anyways.
Okay, I guess we all do. So all is forgiven.
I heart Secondhand Serenade.
Period.
Who invented Q-tips?
Whoever it was, they were brilliant! And I love them.
Oh, haha....
Nanny Diaries: Entry 4
I guess Jake gave Nathan some laxatives last night, unfortunately he relented to pass this information along to the nanny, so today I got squishy, yucky, poop all down the front of my cute shirt. It seriously looked like my shirt was tyedye! I couldnt believe it! haha Just my luck. Ellie was very good today, we had lots of fun. Stephanie bought these mini corn dogs, and we tried some for lunch. We called them "mini weeniers". Quite entertaining.
Anyways, I've got to go, because hopefully Im going to hang out tonight with my buddies.
And if not with them, then Im goign on a date with my daddy.
He wants to take me to lunch.
At MODEL A CAFE!!!
hehe. Leslie, remember when we wanted to work there together.
Oh funny days.
Peace, Love, and much Happiness.
xoxo

Nanny Diaries: Entry 3

Wow, who would have thought that a 3yr old could throw so many tantrums?? Or rather, one really really really long tantrum. Today Ellie was not a happy girl. And unfortunately, her tantrums now not only include crying in the corner, but also;
Screaming at the top of her lungs
Running away
Kicking
Punching
Throwing her toys at us
Slamming doors
Replacing every word in her vocabulary for the word "no"
(which was also screamed at the top of her lungs)
And refusing to sleep even though you could see how tired she was.
It was a very interesting day.
Luckily I have just been offered free food!! I love it when that happens!
hehe, so now Im off to FHE! =)

Nanny Diaries: Entry 2

Ok, I feel like such a terrible person. I spent the whole day today thinking of Breaking Dawn!! I have 200 pages left and I couldnt read it! And not only could I not read it, but I couldnt get it out of my head! What happens next? (I asked more questions, but for the sake of those who havent read it yet, I wont post them. Just know that Stephanie Meyer has TOTALLY outdone herself with this book! Its beyond amazing!) So anyway, between feeding Nathan, cleaning up after Ellie, fixing lunch, and going crazy over what happens in the next chapter, I had no time to pay attention to the 3yr old energizer bunny. I really do feel terrible, hehe, but I couldnt help myself. Luckily today she was very enthrawled in Oswald, I think she watched that movie like 4 times this afternoon. She knows how to work the dvd player (a 3yr old! Yeah! and she can tell time on a clock!! not the digital clock, but the one with hands! this girl rocks!) so whenever she wants to watch something she just keeps pushing play over and over and over. Its great. Anyway I've got to go steal my brother's copy of Breaking Dawn so I can finally finish!! xoxo

Nanny Diaries: Entry 1

Oh how I've missed being a nanny, for my first day on the job lovely little Elisabeth, aka Ellie, decided that it would be so much fun to get into a jar of vaseline!! Well, when I came to work today Stephanie told me that she had smeared it ALL over the bathroom walls and countertops and her bathtub barbie looked like it had swam in the tub of vaseline its self. So we loaded Ellie into the bathtub and for 30 minutes I scrubbed Dawn dishsoap and cornstarch in her hair to clean it and get the "yucky stuff" out. When I would comb her hair inbetween each washing (I had to repeat the wash four times) there would be vaseline chunks stuck in the comb. After we drained the tub there was a ring all the way around the tub. yuck. It was so nasty. haha but hey those are the perks of being a nanny. (shoulder shrug)
Then Ellie wet her pants (we thought we were finished potty training but apparently we're not all the way there yet.) So I had to give her another bath, where I washed her hair another 3-4 times. The vaseline still isnt out all the way. hehe. After Ellie's second bath, Nathan woke up and I had to feed him and work on stretches. He's such a cutie! And of course, like the perfect little angel baby that he is, he fell asleep right after lunch. So after rocking him for a few minutes, putting him in his crib, and cleaning up from lunch, I went downstairs to see what Ellie was up to. What I discovered made me laugh out loud. She had 5 jars of playdough out and scattered all over the table, and squished into the carpet. Now I know that shouldnt have made me laugh, but at that very moment I realized that this was the best job ever. I NEVER get bored! It really is quite fantastic. Anyway, Im off now so this is the end of Entry 1.

Wyoming....

Oh there's no place like home. To me, home is in Utah, but to my mother, home is in Gillette, Wyoming. In case none of you have ever been to Gillette, dont bother, because there is nothing there. It really is like a spit in the road, totally in the middle of nowhere. So unless you have family there, its not like they have the worlds biggest ball of yarn. Anyway, Im sitting here, doing nothing. We've been playing Wii all week long, and I am like THE WORST nintendo playing person ever. So if its a multiple player game, everyone loves playing with me because they know they'll win. If its a team player game, no one wants to be on my team, because they know they'll loose! haha. So now, of course, Im not doing anything, and I thought I'd come blog for a second about my life. I wish I knew how to express what Im feeling inside, in a way that if someone ever read this they would understand what I was feeling, but not necessarely know many details. Like who or what made me feel that certain way. Unfortunately I dont know how to do that, so I'll just have to save that for my journal. Life is a little crazy right now, with friends I mean, some are coming home from missions, getting married, moving away, getting married, being dramatic, wishing others werent so dramatic, etc.etc. And at the time, I feel kind of alone. My boyfriend is in training right now and he's not alloud to have his cellular device, so we cant talk. Which sucks, but its ok, only a few more weeks. My sister is, well...we wont go there. I think that maybe I just need a new adventure in my life. (Oh dear, something is burning... I think one of the moms just burnt dinner...ew) Maybe I should go cook, that'd be a new adventure for today...except last time I tried to help in the kitchen I got kicked out. eh. Whatever. ..Ok, well I dont have anything else to say right now.. so Im off.

Vacation Deprived

Hey everyone, it is a lovely sunday afternoon and I just got up from the living room where my family has been debating on where to hold the next family vacation. We all realized that we havent been on a fam vaca in way to long of a time.! So what we've come up with is a very large vacation next spring, but until then we would like to go on some fun little weekend trips and do some awesomely radical things. Does anyone have any ideas of things that we could do? Have you gone on random trips with your family? Please let me know! Thanks!

Apology

I apologize for anyone who just read the post below this and that ruined the movie for you. But in all fairness, that was not my fault for ruining it. This is not a "wait for the dollar movie" show. No sir! If you have read this blog before seeing The Dark Knight, then I do not feel sorry that I gave away some of the movie, because this should be your "top movie priority". So. ...Ok I am a little bit sorry, but....yeah. Sorry if I ruined it. Its just an amazing movie, and I had to get my thoughts out. =)

The Dark Knight

Tonight I have witnessed the single most amazing movie ever. Although I wont lie, Im a little biast. Batman is my favorite and no matter what anyone says he is the best superhero in the world. Anyway, tonight I went to see the Dark Knight, and even now at 3:24am I am still in awe at the velocity of this show's superiority over all other shows. Not only does Batman kick all the other guy's butts, looses love, falls out of 3 story buildings, gets shot and bit by dogs, but he also takes the blame for eveyrthing the bad guys did so that the city of gothem thinks there is still a hero! OH MY LAWD! Could you say Awesome? Batman is the Man.
I also was introduced to batman tonight, it turns out we have been friends for a while. I never saw it coming. And we love each other. The end.
And as for the AMAZING Heath Ledger. I aplaud him. This was definately the perfect last movie choice on his behalf (not that he knew it was to be his last movie...or maybe he did. We never know ..I like to think he didnt know). Heath Ledger was an amazing actor and I love him dearly. The end.

Quote of the day

I have recently fallen upon a lovely book that I find quite interesting. It is called the "Perpetual Inspirational Calendar". And it is this cute little flip book with a quote for every single day of the whole year! Anyway, as I was flipping through this lovely little book, I came upon some really great quotes, and I've decided that here is where I will post any quotes and comments that I simply adore. Also, it is my new responisbillity to send Jen a quote every day for the rest of the year, so Jen, if I miss one, then just check this blog, because it will probably be posted here. However, I do not feel that I will be posting every single day for the rest of the year. So sometimes there might be multiple quotes in one blog. As it is, here we start with yesterday's quote.
July 14: "...a friend is an Angel in disguise."
I definately agree with this quote. Friends are AWESOME. You can never have enough friends, but I must add that a TRUE friend is an Angel in disguise. It is hard to find really really great friends, the ones you will keep for a lifetime. And Im not saying those friends you'll keep forever, but your only communication is a Christmas Card every year. No, Im talking about the friends who are a part of your every day life. Whom you speak to at least once a week, the friends who think about you all the time when you're out of town, wondering what extravagent adventure you're about to embark on, and hoping you'll be safe. These friends who should have been your brother or sister, but God knew you needed them as a friend instead. These are the real Angels in disguise. I have been blessed with many great Angels in my life, and I have come to realize (as I've been writing this blog) that I do not express my thanks and appreciation enough. So I would like to first off thank my Mom for being the greatest friend I'll ever have, and for always being there whenever I needed you. I love you Mom. Thank you Denisha and Alex for being my friends, and even though Dr. D is now retired, I know you'll always have my back. Thank you Hayley for all the wonderful "girl's night out"s that we've had together. I will never forget 80's Night and really really tight spandex! (hehe) Thank you Tamera for being my military support. And for our pizza and movie nights. Thank you Eric for always knowing how to put a smile on my face.Thank you Leslie for creating G-runs and Canyon Drives. Thank you Natasha for all our conversations of live via siting in the car eating ice cream. =) Thank you Jess for being awesome! Thank you for loving to go bowling with me all the time Chels, and for being my S.T. Dictionary. Thank you Britni and Bre for being the greatest sisters in the world! Thank you Scott, Trev, and Ty for being so studly its almost unbearable. Thank you to a secret someone who put the biggest smile on my face yesterday! That was increadible!! Basically I just wanted to tell everyone who's ever been an inspiration to me, or lifted me up when they didnt even know it, Thank you for being my Angel in disguise!

Aloha Hawaii

I just returned from a wonderful vacation to hawaii! My boyfriend is a marine and he is stationed there, he flew me out for the 4th of July and we had a blast! We went hiking - kind of, cliff jumping, motorcycle riding, to the beach, matsumotos, shopping, rodney atkins concert, fireworks, swimming, horseback riding, and more! Here are some pictures from the vaca...

This is at the top of Pali Road. The view was absolutely amazing, we could see for miles!

MATSUMOTOS! The most famous snow cone shop ever! These babys were sweet!! Except, whoever thought of sticking beans (like black beans) at the bottom of a snowcone? (shoulder shrug) who knows. I didnt get any beans though. Just a plain ol' strawberry/pina colada snow cone.!
Jen and I at North Shore! We had so much fun!! Everyone was jumping off of this huge rock doing back flips and gainers! We got some great video! Hawaii is the greatest!
Horseback riding!! Talk about fantastic! We got to ride all over the North side of the Oahu. We rode around in the mountains where they are filming "Lost" which was super cool. And again, it was Hawaii so of course the scenery was amazingly beautiful!
Enter "The Hog". This would be our way of transportation just about every day. It was awesome! We rode "The Hog" a lot while I was there, and I must admit, its my new favorite. Anyway, thats about it for "Adventures of Nicole in Hawaii." Tune in next time for... "The Price is Right".
Over and Out.
