I have had the week from hell. Its true. On Thursday Ellisabeth got her tonsils taken out so I took Nathan to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. It was a lot of fun.... Until my camera was stolen!!! I set it down for one second because Nathan fell and made a mess... so I picked him up and picked up the mess, stood up and bye bye camera. It was no where to be seen. We searched and searched but couldnt find it anywhere. My friend Katie came with us and her daughter Eevie, she's adorable. So after the camera situation, we decided to finish walking around the museum.... and then all of the sudden, my WHOLE side was wet! wtf? And then it clicks. Nathan has just peed on me. Fantastic. So I quickly get him changed, rub my shirt down with some germ-x, and we continue walking in the museum. It was actually a pretty cool place, they had this one room that had like a sand/water canal that was HUGE that the kids could play in. so cool. So we stayed in there for a while and played. Eevie loved it. Nathan loved playing with the toys on the bench. haha. But then he decided to get brave and hold some sand in his hands, he was happy with it for about 4.3 seconds and then Im not sure how this happened so fast but it instantly went from his hand, to my shirt/pants. soggy. germ soaked. dirty. wet. sand.
Could this day get any better?
Yes, actually, it could.
We finally lured Eevie out of the play area with the bribe of ice cream! (my personal fav.) Luckily Iceberg is right by Thanksgiving point. So Katie and I are sitting there talking, enjoying our ice cream. The kids are being great. And Katie finds..... a hair in her shake. oh gross. so gross. Immediately we stop eating the ice cream. Totally ruined now. But Nathan didnt care about hairs, he still wanted to eat it, so I'd scoop up little tiny spoon-fulls of my shake, inspect them for anything that wasnt supposed to be there, and then let him enjoy the wonderful oreo/banana shake. (I know that sounds so weird, but its actually kind of amazing.) So, here's where we top the rest of the day off... Nathan gets a brain freeze. he starts whimpering a little, puts his hands to his temples and sticks his tongue out... and along with the ice cream on his tongue comes, the most slober I've ever seen come out of a child at one time. And of course, it landed all over my leg. I was done. We threw everything away and walked out. I listened to Michael Buble all the way home and just prayed for a better day tomorrow...
Then tomorrow came and I had to go to the dentist.. one of my fillings came out and I was getting it fixed. Only, come to find out, it had been loose for quite some time and now there was an infection = root canal. I hate the dentist. I dont ever go numb and Im always sore for at least a week after because NO ONE ever believes me that I dont go numb so they end up giving me 15-20 shots of Novocaine until I just suck it up and deal with the pain. Its a terrible feeling. So the Dentist tells me they have this shot that basically one of it equals TWO shots of Novocaine. Great. I say. Load me up.... I stopped counting after 6 shots of this "oh so awesome" stuff. It was not fun. They did give me Lortab for the pain though. Unfortunately that didnt work so well.. Saturday and Sunday I was unbearable. My poor Mother had to deal with me wining and complaining and taking double the dose of Lortab because it wasnt working! (she kind of freaked when I did that.) So Sunday afternoon she called the Doctor again and he said to meet him in his office in 20. And guess what they did. ANOTHER ROOT CANAL. I wasnt even paying attention but my Dad said he gave me over 14 shots. It was awful. Then he told me I had to sleep upright for the next while.... like in a chair. or with multiple pillows stacked up behind me.
I was not okay with this.
I sleep FLAT. always. usually I dont even use a pillow at all!! bah. So Sunday night my Mom came and slept in my bed with me. And I had to wake up every 2 hours to take Lortab or Ibuprofen. (I switched off every 2 hours so I was always drugged) It was miserable. I didnt sleep at all because every 2 hours my alarm was going off. Monday Spencer came over and kept me company all day. I was so happy to be with him. He came over Tuesday as well. I love that man. :) Wednesday I finally went back to work, but by the time 4:30 came around, my head was spinning and I knew there was no way I could go to school. So I went home and slept. I was so out of it that I didnt wake up to my alarm going off for meds... So when I woke up this morning, my jaw hurt so bad!!! Hopefully I'll have better luck in the future.
So anyway, I probably wont be posting a lot of pictures any time soon.... but once I get a camera Ill be back in action!
Welp, Spencie got moved up to March 7th for boot camp!!!!
