Spencer is unfortunately celebrating being tortured for his birthday. :(
Now you may ask yourself  "why would anyone want to torture someone on their birthday!?!" I had the same thought, but aparently no one really cares at basic training, and some might even go out of their way to make sure you have a BAD day on that special day.. so. We sent no packages (he cant have food either. not even a candy bar.) no colorful cards that sing when you open them. Not even a colorful envelope. (actually, thats not true either. all my envelopes are pink. :) supporting breast cancer. hoorah) So today is a tribute to my one true love. I miss him more than I could ever say, and I cant wait for him to be back in my life.
I love you Spencer, Thanks for being my very best friend.

Week 2: Idaho

This weekend my wonderful Mother and I decided to go visit my sister and bro-in-law and my ADOOOOORABLE Niece, in St. Anthony, ID. Now, why ANYONE would want to live there, is totally beyond me. But we still love them, and therefore take the occasional road trip out to visit. We had a grand time, eating out at Costa Vida, having an all day movie marathon, and going to Church on sunday!
Well, lucky for us, my fabulous sister decided to drive down with us and stay for this week as well! So we are filling our canteens of babyness, laughs, giggles, poopy blow-outs, and cuddle time.

This last item is mostly for the benefit of one VERY lonely husband-less woman. aka.me. I have been doing favors right and left to earn cuddle time with.... not my niece, but my sister! It turns out, one gets very sleep deprived when laying in a bed by them selves. So for the first time in 2 weeks, I got 8 hours of sleep last night!!! That is probably triple what I usually get. So I am very happy today!

On the husband front, I've written multiple letters (all written last week), but I have yet to recieve a phone call or a letter. Im assuming that he is very very busy, in which case, no news is good news.
So..... I will keep myself very busy and just hope that I hear from him soon!

Week One: Vegas

Well, Spencer left on Monday morning.
I dropped him off at the Navy office and watched him drive away. :(
It has been one very LOOOOOOONNNNGGGGG week. My mom and I drove to Vegas Thursday night for a lovely weekend getaway. And then on Saturday, one of Spencer's best buddies got married. Ty Empey married Jessica Myers. They looked BEautiful!!! And it was very fun to see everyone. We drove back Sunday night, and here it is Monday again. Its been one week. Finally.
Im hoping and praying that these next 7 weeks go a tad bit quicker than week one did. Otherwise I'm going to be in big big trouble, because I'll probably go crazy.
Someone please call and entertain me.

Moving.

Anyone have any boxes we could use???
We kind of looked over that tiny detail when we were preparing to move all of our stuff.

We're leavin' on a jet plane!!

Welp, Spencie got moved up to March 7th for boot camp!!!!

Which means that he'll be gone for anywhere from
6-9 weeks!!!!
Meanwhile I'll be staying in freezing, miserable, ugly, Utah.
Fortunately, once he graduates boot camp, he'll go straight to ...
FLORIDA!!!! Where I will meet him with all of our belongings.We will be in Pensacola, Florida for just short of 2 years.
(22 months)
And then wherever the Navy decides to send us from there. I am SO excited to be in Florida, thats what I have to keep reminding myself of. Florida.

Update

So my camera was stollen about 9 months ago and I SILL have yet to buy another one. :(

its unfortunate because I cant take any pictures of newly married life!!

(ie. empty apartment, sunday dinner at my parents, new snow fall, christmas tree, etc.)

Its kind of depressing.

But just to let everyone know we're doing GREAT!

and LOOOOOVING married life!

I am so excited to spend our first married Christmas together!!!

Thanksgiving was a blast and Im sure Christmas will be even better!

Happily Ever Afters, Hotels and Happy Days

Our friends Travis and Megan Barney were married Friday, May 14, 2010! I am so so happy for them both! Spencer and I went to their luncheon up in Alpine and had a marvelous time, then after we headed up to Park City!! Aaron and Christine (Spencer's bro & sis-in-law) got us hooked up at the Waldorf Astoria Park City for the weekend! It was awesome! We all had a blast up there with heated swimming pools, delicious dinner, and fun times with the fam. Then Saturday we headed to the park to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather together. We also got together with 'The Boys' and played tennis!

I took Nathan and Elisabeth to the park yesterday because it was so warm and beautiful! We had a blast! Ellie is so fun to take pictures of (I stole my dad's camera for the weekend) and Nathan does this super precious face, when you tell him to "say cheese" he scrunches up his face and shuts his eyes really tight and says "eeeeeeeeeeeeeessssse!!!" Its a crack up!

Im so sad that I wont be watching these kids anymore!!! Jake and Stephanie wont need me during the summer, and then I'm graduating from school.... it makes me so sad because I've been with them for 2 years! I have so many fun memories with these two kiddos, but I told Jake that Im going to stop by ALL the time to see them!!
Also, I decided that we should get his animal sounds recorded before he stops doing them.. so here's the video. Its adorable!

Car Problems??

This morning I walked out to my car, threw my purse in and started it... then I noticed an empty smoothie cup from yesterday and I didnt want it to stink up my car so I ran it inside really fast. However when I came back to my car....THE DOOR WOULDNT OPEN! It looked unlocked, but it wasnt. For some reason my car door just decided to lock itself...while it was running..with my purse inside. The reason my purse is significant is because the only other extra key..was sitting inside my bag. My dad came out and tried to hanger the door with zero success, so I had to take my mom's car to work. My poor Jetta was left locked and running in the driveway. And I was 15 minutes late for work. gah.
